A recent incident involving one of our residents vividly illustrates the critical role our team plays in safeguarding lives.

A woman resident came to our attention in a state of distress, having exchanged sex for a substance. Recognising the immediate danger she was in, our night support workers, Gary and Dawn, acted swiftly. Their sharp instincts and unwavering commitment to the well-being of our residents led them to call an ambulance without hesitation.

This decisive action could have potentially saved the woman’s life. 

It underscores the vital importance of having trained professionals on hand around the clock, ready to respond to crises with compassion and expertise.

This incident is a stark reminder of the challenges faced by many of the residents we serve whilst out working or patrolling. It also highlights Streetlight’s unwavering dedication to providing a safe and supportive environment where individuals can begin their journey towards recovery.
